Waking up was difficult for you. Your body felt sore and your eyelids were heavy. But your increasing hunger began to nudge you awake. Cracking an eye open, you find yourself in a lavishly decorated room. White marble walls with cracks of diamond and platinum, tall windows with heavy sapphire drapes, ten foot ceilings, and an impressive fourposter white wood bed with a blue silk and chiffon canopy.

Light _____ hair falls in tresses, reminding you of what has happened. However, you mind on Pures has not changed, you still despise them. You get up and stretch, bones cracking and legs collapsing from under you.

"Dammit."

You get up from the soft rug on the floor and make you way to the large white wood doors. Once opening them, you almost run right into the Royal Pure. He scowls down at you as you hiss at him.

"Seems as if you have not changed a bit, mutt."

"I could say the same about you."

Lukas sidestepped you and walked into his room. He unhooked his cloak and hung it on a gnarled white wood hook nailed to the wall. Underneath the white cloak, the Pure wore a white half sleeved tunic and sapphire coloured pants. He then walked over to you and gave you an almost fuchsia coloured potion.

"Drink that."

"Why should I?"

"It will regenerate your health. It won’t harm you in any way. The council forbade me from doing that."

You look at the potion before uncorking it and drinking from it.

What do I have to loose anyways?

As it turns out, Lukas wasn't lying. All the potion did was help you regain all of your lost energy and health. You haven't felt this way in thousands of years, the last time had to be when you were barely over five hundred years old.

"So, if I'm not killed, nor turned fully Pure, then what is my purpose here?"

"I am not sure. I will have yet another word with the council tomorrow."

"Then what do I do until then?"

"You must stay in here for the time being. I cannot have you meddling around."

"I could always knock the door down, or jump out the window."

"I have placed a spell so you would not be able to carry out either of those plans."

You swear under your breath. You're stuck here for the next day or so until the damn council tells the royal what to do with you. Sighing heavily, you sit back on the couch you had awoken on.

"If you're bored mutt, it would most helpful if you bathed."

That reminds you, the last shower you had, was, well, a good thousand years ago. Taking a nice, long, hot bath actually sounds quite appealing towards you. It would give you time to mull things over and you are bound to spend quite a deal of time in there.

"Where's the bathroom?"

"Down past the entrance, I am sure that you’ll be able to find it.”

You get up from your position on the couch and walk to the large whitewood doors. Down past the entrance was a white hall way, intricate platinum designs were engraved in the pristine marble. The hallway opened up into a large room stocked full of cabinets and wardrobes. Full length mirrors were strategically placed around the room; a pair of frosted French doors at the back most wall caught your attention.

That must be where the bathroom is…

Opening the doors, you found a bathroom with high ceilings and a large bathtub that could comfortably fit several people, with a marble fountain in the center. Stripping from your cloak and simple garments, you turn the water on and submerge yourself in the hot water. Sighing in delight, you sink down and begin to scrub the years of dirt and grime off your body.

Once clean, you relax in the still warm water, mulling over the recent events. You wonder what will happen to you, if you’ll be brainwashed like Elizabeta, or if you’ll be put to death. However, you know that neither of those is going to happen. They already tried brainwashing you, that didn’t work, and the council refused to have you put to death. Perhaps you’ll just be locked up in the Pure’s castle.

Ah well…

Emil looked at the shadowy figure before him, frightened and completely confused. This woman was Eliza, but so was the other one upstairs.

After Eliza’s transformation into a Pure, she did have a completely different attitude. Did Lukas extract the purity out of her along with her memories of _____?

As much as he didn’t want to believe it, Emil knew very well that that was what happened. _____ couldn’t be completely since she was more Shade than Pure, but Eliza could.

“W-who are you? W-what are you going to do with me?”

“You’re Elizabeta, correct?”

“U-h, I’m not sure anymore.”

“Can you recall anything upon coming here?”

“Sometimes. I remember there being a lot of light, then darkness.”

“Do you know a Shade by the name of _____?”

“She was in here at one point with me, I can distinctly remember her from time to time.”

Elizabeta’s Shade half barely remembered anything, but she could recall only a few things. Better little than none, though. Emil reached towards the lock on the cage and unlocked it. He helped the nearly dead woman out of her restraints and brought her to the elevator. Emil shrouded her eyes with her cloak, as to not harm her. Cautiously, the young Pure escorted Eliza to his room where he gave her a health potion.

“Why would you help me? You are a Pure, are you not?”

“I am, but I am not like the royal or any Pure for that matter.”

Emil watched as Eliza thought about what he said, she sighed.

“I suppose. You are helping me after all. Why are you doing that anyways?”

“I want to restore your memories and undo what the royal has done to you.”

“Alright. What do I have to loose anyways?”

* * *

Emerging from the bathroom with a soft bathrobe on, you walk back to where you awoke to see that the royal has left. Probably to have a word with the council. You sit back onto the couch and sigh, now all you must do is wait. Wait until Lukas comes back with what he is to do with you.

The heavy white doors open, but you don’t look up. At least that damn Pure is back-

“_____?”

You do not fully recognize this person’s voice. Picking your head up, you see a young Pure about your age with silvery white hair and purple eyes. Then it hits you, this is the boy from before. Lukas’s brother, as you recall before turning into a partial Pure.

“Please come with me, it is urgent.”

“I’m not allowed to leave.”

“The spell my brother put on his chamber was to keep you from breaking out, not leaving.”

“Well if you out it that way, alright then.”

You get up once again from the couch and follow the silver hair teen down a staircase much like the one in the grand entrance, but not as large. From there he guided you down a few hallways and over towards another staircase, still quite impressive as the last two, but narrower.

Lukas’s brother brought you into a room much like his brother’s, yet with more of a purple theme than blue. A few bookcases are strewn around with several plush chairs are by the floor to ceiling windows.

“What is it that you wanted to show me?”

“I found your sister.”

“Yeah I found her too-“

“No, not her Pure half, but her Shade half.”

“Excuse me?”

The Pure gestured towards the direction of the chairs. Sitting in one was a woman with dark emerald eyes and dark brown hair, the splitting image of your sister.
